**Palakkad, Kerala – March 1, 2025** – The Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended a man carrying ₹38.85 lakh in unaccounted cash on a train in Palakkad on Saturday. Thoufeek, 34, from Alapuzha, was subsequently handed over to the Income Tax department for investigation. RPF officials suspect Thoufeek’s involvement in illegal gold and hawala (under-the-table money transfer) activities.
