Sat Mar 01 11:50:44 UTC 2025: **Bengaluru Law Student Rescued After Abduction**
BHAVANASAGAR, March 1, 2025 – A 21-year-old law student, M. Isravel, was rescued early Saturday morning after being abducted from Bengaluru by a four-member gang. The rescue took place at the Periya Kallipatti check post near Bhavanisagar.
Isravel, a resident of Hebbal and student at a Bengaluru college, was approached Friday evening near Bande Maramma Temple in Yelahanka by individuals who lured him into their car under the pretense of wanting to rent his house. The gang then threatened him and drove him to various locations before reaching the check post.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., police stopped the vehicle for inspection. Isravel shouted for help, prompting the gang to falsely claim he was mentally unstable and attempt to flee. Quick thinking by a police officer prevented their escape, and Isravel was rescued.
The kidnappers, who spoke Malayalam, allegedly planned to demand a ₹2 crore ransom from Isravel’s father, a businessman. Police confirmed the car’s registration plate was fake and a missing person report had been filed in Bengaluru. An investigation is underway to determine the full motive behind the abduction.
