Sat Mar 01 15:29:41 UTC 2025: **Nagercoil Book Fair Draws Record Crowds**

**NAGERCOIL, March 1, 2025** – The 11-day government book exhibition in Nagercoil concluded Saturday with a resounding success, attracting over two lakh visitors – a significant increase compared to previous years. The fair, held at the S.L.B. School premises, benefited from its more central location this year, leading to higher footfall than last year’s less accessible venue.

Publishers reported increased sales, attributing the rise to the improved location and accessibility. A notable trend was the high demand for “Psychology of Money,” fueled by its social media popularity. Despite the digital age, the enduring appeal of physical books, particularly among students, was evident.

The event, praised for its comprehensive approach, included food stalls and student cultural programs. Kanniyakumari District Collector R. Alagumeena commended the organizing team, led by District Revenue Officer J. Balasubramaniam, for their efforts in making the fair a success. The valedictory ceremony included prize-giving for participating students.
