**Navi Mumbai, India –** Popular YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, was questioned by Maharashtra Cyber officials on Monday for approximately two hours regarding his controversial appearance on the YouTube show “India’s Got Latent.” The questioning stems from a backlash against his crass question posed to a contestant: “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?”
Allahbadia, who had previously skipped summons, admitted his mistake and apologized for the inappropriate comment, stating it was neither funny nor appropriate. He claimed his appearance on the show was due to a friendship with the host, Samay Raina, and that he received no payment for his participation. Sources say he explained that YouTubers frequently appear on each other’s shows as a matter of friendly collaboration.
The incident sparked numerous complaints, leading to several cases being filed against Allahbadia. Last week, the Supreme Court granted him interim protection from arrest, while strongly condemning his remarks as vulgar and shameful. The court ordered him to cooperate with investigations and surrender his passport.
Over 50 individuals associated with “India’s Got Latent,” including guests, judges, and social media influencers, have been summoned by the Maharashtra cyber cell. Host Samay Raina, who has since removed all episodes of the show from YouTube, has also been called in for questioning. The investigation continues.
