**New Delhi, February 25, 2025** – A Delhi court today summoned former Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, and daughter Hema Yadav in connection with the ongoing land-for-jobs scam. The summons, issued by Special Judge Vishal Gogne, requires the accused to appear in court on March 11.
The case, registered in May 2022, alleges that Lalu Prasad, during his tenure as railway minister (2004-2009), facilitated Group D appointments in the West Central Railway zone in exchange for land parcels gifted to his family and associates. The CBI has already obtained sanction to prosecute Lalu Prasad, and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets worth ₹6.02 crore linked to him. The accusations center around appointments made in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The RJD supremo’s wife is also named in the FIR.
