Sat Feb 22 22:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Indie Spirit Awards: “A Real Pain” and “Baby Reindeer” Take Top Honors

SANTA MONICA, CA – Jesse Eisenberg’s “A Real Pain” and “Baby Reindeer” emerged as big winners at the 40th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards, held on February 22nd in Santa Monica and hosted by Aidy Bryant. While “Anora” and “I Saw the TV Glow” led in nominations, the awards were spread across a variety of films and television series.

Eisenberg secured the coveted John Cassavettes Award, given to the best feature film made for under $1 million. In the acting categories, Maisy Stella won Best Breakthrough Performance for her role in “My Old Ass,” and Nava Mau took home Best Supporting Performance in a New Scripted Series for her work in “Baby Reindeer.” Jessica Gunning also won Best Breakthrough Performance in a New Scripted Series for the same show.
