Sat Feb 22 03:18:01 UTC 2025: ## Jagan Mohan Reddy Skips Court Hearing in 2018 Attack Case
**Visakhapatnam, February 22, 2025** – The NIA court in Visakhapatnam adjourned the hearing in the “Kodi Kathi” case, concerning the 2018 attack on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, until March 21. The adjournment follows Reddy’s absence from Friday’s hearing. One of the accused, J. Srinivasa Rao alias Srinu, did attend the proceedings.
The incident, which involved a knife attack at Visakhapatnam airport on October 25, 2018, has sparked criticism. Dalit organizations condemned Reddy’s non-appearance, highlighting his recent visit to jailed former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi. Dalit leader B. Venkat Rao stated that Reddy’s absence demonstrates a lack of respect for the court and the law, suggesting the incident is being used for political gain. Srinivas, the attacker, was released on bail in April 2023.
