**New Delhi, February 22, 2025** – A teacher at a Nagar Nigam School in northeast Delhi’s Shri Ram Colony has been booked for allegedly assaulting a Class 1 student, causing internal ear bleeding. Police reported the incident, which occurred on February 17th, came to light only after a PCR call on February 18th.
The child was treated at JPC Hospital, where internal ear bleeding was discovered despite the absence of external injuries. While the mother initially declined to provide a statement due to her husband’s absence in Bihar, police have now registered a case against the teacher under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Juvenile Justice Act. Investigations are ongoing.
