**KOCHI, INDIA – February 22, 2025** – The Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025) opened Friday, showcasing Kerala’s diverse industrial landscape and investment opportunities. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the two-day event, joined by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and other state ministers.
The exhibition features 105 stalls highlighting 22 priority sectors, ranging from traditional industries like food processing and rubber to burgeoning start-ups in emerging technologies. A key focus is on Kerala’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The Ayurveda and healthcare sectors are prominently displayed, showcasing products such as traditional massage tables and Ayurvedic travel kits.
High-profile exhibits include a model of the INS Vikrant aircraft carrier at the Cochin Shipyard pavilion and a model of India’s first Water Metro. The Vizhinjam port’s investment potential is also highlighted, alongside opportunities in the maritime and boat-building sectors presented by Samudra Shipyard.
Industries Minister P. Rajeeve stated that the exhibition effectively illustrates Kerala’s industrial potential to the investor community. The summit aims to attract significant investment in the state’s diverse and growing economy.
