**CHENNAI, February 22, 2025** – A 12-member delegation from Maharashtra’s health ministry visited Tamil Nadu on Friday to study the state’s healthcare infrastructure. The delegation, led by Maharashtra’s Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Prakash Abitkar and Minister of State Meghana Bordikar, met with Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma. Subramanian.

The visit included tours of several key facilities, including the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation, the primary health center in Nandivaram, the district headquarters hospital in Kancheepuram, and the Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Speciality Hospital in Omandurar Estate. Tamil Nadu officials briefed the Maharashtra delegation on several state government health initiatives, such as Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam, Innuyir Kappom-Nammai Kakkum 48, and Idhayam Kappom. The purpose of the visit was to examine and potentially learn from Tamil Nadu’s healthcare models.
