**Mumbai, India –** Vicky Kaushal’s latest historical drama, “Chhaava,” continues its phenomenal box office run, crossing ₹200 crore domestically within a week of its release. The film, depicting the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, benefited from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti holiday in Maharashtra. According to film trade portal Sacnilk, “Chhaava” has already raked in ₹219.75 crore. The film saw strong opening weekend numbers (₹31 crore Friday, ₹37 crore Saturday, ₹48.5 crore Sunday) and maintained momentum throughout the week. High occupancy rates were reported in major cities like Mumbai (43.50%), Pune (58.75%), Hyderabad, and Chennai.

“Chhaava” is poised to become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-grossing film, surpassing his previous record-holder, “Uri: The Surgical Strike” (₹244 crore). The film’s success has led to tax exemptions in Madhya Pradesh and Goa, with Chief Ministers Mohan Yadav and Pramod Sawant respectively citing the historical significance of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s life and the film’s quality as reasons for the decision.
