**Dubai, UAE – February 20, 2025** – Indian captain Rohit Sharma achieved a significant milestone in the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 match against Bangladesh in Dubai. He became the fourth Indian and tenth overall batsman to surpass 11,000 runs in One Day International (ODI) cricket.
Sharma joins an elite club of Indian cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, and Sourav Ganguly, all of whom have also achieved this remarkable feat. His accomplishment is even more impressive considering he reached the 11,000-run mark in his 261st innings, making him the second fastest to achieve this milestone. Only Virat Kohli, who reached the mark in 222 innings, was faster. Sachin Tendulkar holds the record with 18,000 runs in 452 innings.
The top ten ODI run-scorers include two other Indian batsmen, Kohli and Ganguly, with Kohli nearing 14,000 runs in this format. Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara is currently second on the all-time list with 14,234 runs.
