**Dubai, UAE:** India began their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with a loss in the toss against Bangladesh on Thursday, February 20th. Notable absences from the Indian team included Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy, while Ravindra Jadeja made a return to the squad. Rishabh Pant was unfortunately not included in the playing XI.

India’s playing eleven consisted of: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul (wicketkeeper), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, and Harshit Rana.
