**Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, February 20, 2025** – A woman has been detained in Greater Noida after a video went viral showing her assaulting a minor boy who objected to her bringing her dog into a residential building elevator.
The incident, which occurred on Wednesday in the Gaur City 2 society, shows the woman dragging the child from the elevator after he repeatedly requested her not to bring her pet inside. The boy is visibly frightened in the video.
Central Noida Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shakti Mohan Avasthy confirmed that a case has been registered against the woman and she is currently in custody. Police are investigating the incident and further legal action is pending.
Residents of the society expressed outrage at the woman’s behavior, describing the child as visibly scared and pleading with the woman to leave the elevator. They have called for swift justice.
