**UDHAGAMANDALAM, February 20, 2025** – Nilgiris Lok Sabha MP A. Raja chaired a District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting in Udhagamandalam on Thursday, reviewing the progress of various development projects. The meeting included officials from the Nilgiris, Erode, and Coimbatore districts, encompassing the entirety of Mr. Raja’s constituency.
Mr. Raja reported that most projects, including those funded by the state and central governments, are on schedule or nearing completion before the monsoon season. He urged officials to expedite remaining work and ensure timely public access.
In addition to the DISHA meeting, Mr. Raja distributed welfare aid, including:
* **Scooters:** 25 scooters worth ₹25.45 lakh were provided to differently-abled beneficiaries.
* **Housing:** Construction orders worth ₹1.14 crore were given to 20 Adivasi families under the PM-JANMAN scheme.
The event was attended by Ooty MLA R. Ganesh, District Collector Lakshmi Bhavya Tanneeru, and other senior district officials.
