Thu Feb 20 14:49:17 UTC 2025: ## Union Minister Joshi Accuses Congress of Corruption, Seeks Answers on US Aid and China Remarks
**Hubballi, Karnataka – February 20, 2025** – Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Pralhad Joshi today launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing it of corruption and seeking clarification on several issues. His comments followed the seizure of nutritious food supplies intended for pregnant women and anganwadi children in Hubballi, allegedly diverted for illegal sale.
Joshi claimed that a Congress leader is implicated in the food scandal and that the police have yet to arrest the main accused due to political protection. He presented photographs of seized food packets as evidence.
Furthermore, Joshi demanded answers from the Congress regarding US President Donald Trump’s statement hinting at attempts to influence Indian elections through USAID. He cited Trump’s mention of $21 million in aid to India and questioned the Congress’s involvement.
The Minister also pressed the Congress to clarify its stance on Sam Pitroda’s statement that China is not an enemy of India. Joshi questioned whether the Congress would expel Pitroda from the party given his remarks.
Joshi concluded by accusing the Congress of attempting to undermine India’s electoral system through foreign aid and called for a national apology.
