**Hyderabad, February 19, 2025** – Hyderabad District Collector Anudeep Durishetty issued a stern warning to private healthcare facilities in the city, emphasizing strict adherence to legal regulations. During an awareness seminar on Tuesday, Mr. Durishetty stressed that all hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers must employ only legally qualified doctors, maintain proper registration, and comply with all relevant laws, including the Clinical Establishment Act, PC-PNDT Act, MTP Act, and Surrogacy Act.
The Collector highlighted concerns about overcharging by some autism centers, wellness clinics, and weight-loss facilities, which were allegedly exploiting patients under the guise of legitimate treatments. He mandated that all institutions submit annual service rate structures and charge fees accordingly. Furthermore, he insisted on transparency in pricing and the provision of adequate patient facilities and trained staff.
Mr. Durishetty warned that hospitals violating these regulations will face stringent legal action. The seminar, attended by medical directors from various private healthcare establishments, served as a clear message of the administration’s commitment to ensuring ethical and legal medical practices within the city.
