**Jaipur, February 19, 2025** – Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Diya Kumari, today presented the state’s budget for fiscal year 2025-26, prioritizing job creation and infrastructure development. The budget includes ambitious plans for employment generation, water supply projects, and a significant investment in infrastructure, notably the construction of nine greenfield expressways.

A key highlight of the budget is the creation of 125,000 government and public sector jobs in the coming year. Kumari stated that the government, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has achieved significant developmental milestones in its first year, exceeding public expectations. She projected a substantial increase in the state’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) to over ₹19,89,000 crore in 2025-26 under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

The budget allocates ₹60,000 crore for the construction of nine greenfield expressways. Further emphasizing the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, Kumari announced an investment of ₹400 crore to provide water connections to an additional 200,000 homes. She also highlighted the government’s progress in fulfilling election promises, claiming 58% of its manifesto pledges and 73% of the previous budget’s announcements have been completed.

Other key initiatives include:

* ₹550 crore allocated for the development of Pancha Tattva (five elements) in districts.
* Increased allocation of ₹100 crore for the Mewat region.
* ₹20 crore budget for rural tourism.
* ₹975 crore for promoting tourism.
* Development of a tribal tourism circuit at Tripura Sundari Mangarh Dham.
* Creation of 750 doctors and 1500 paramedic positions.
* Funding for over 750 Gen Z startups.
* Launch of the Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Yojana for youth.
* Announcement of Rajasthan Rojgar Guarantee 2025.
* Free religious trips for 50,000 senior citizens by train and 6,000 by air.
* Job offers for 1.5 lakh youth in the private sector.
* Land allocation for encouraging sportspersons.

The budget session, which commenced on January 31st, has also seen the Congress government responding to opposition queries, including allegations of phone tapping raised by BJP leader Kirodi Lal Meena. The session continues with discussions on various issues.
