**Nandyal, Andhra Pradesh –** The 11-day Mahasivaratri Brahmotsavams commenced on Wednesday at the Srisailam temple in Andhra Pradesh, drawing a large number of devotees on its opening day. Temple officials performed a series of elaborate rituals, including the Yagasala pravesam and Dwajarohana ceremony. The offering of Jyotirmudi, marking the end of Siva Deeksha for devotees, also began. This offering will continue until March 5th, accommodating those who undertook 40-day and 20-day deeksha periods.
Meanwhile, Nandyal in-charge Superintendent of Police Vikrant Patel conducted a security inspection of the temple town, focusing on queue lines, laddu counters, and bathing ghats. He emphasized ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for all visitors during the festival. The temple management has made extensive arrangements to accommodate the expected influx of devotees throughout the 11-day celebration.
