**New Delhi, February 19, 2025** – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) achieved a resounding victory in the Delhi Assembly elections, securing 48 out of 70 seats and ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) decade-long rule. This marks the BJP’s return to power in Delhi after a 27-year absence. The win was significantly fueled by strong support from women voters, who constituted 44.08 lakh of the total electorate and boasted a higher turnout (60.92%) than men (60.21%).
