**MUMBAI, INDIA –** Vicky Kaushal’s latest film, “Chhaava,” a historical drama portraying Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has stormed the box office, grossing over ₹145.33 crore in just four days of its release in India. The film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna, is poised to surpass ₹200 crore worldwide.

This success marks a significant comeback for Kaushal, whose previous films, “Bad Newz” and “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke,” underperformed. For Mandanna, “Chhaava” adds to her string of recent box office hits, including “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” “Animal,” and “Varisu.”

Directed by Laxman Utekar (“Mimi”) and produced by Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films, “Chhaava” premiered on February 14th. The film, which faced minor controversy over a dance sequence that is reportedly being removed from some versions, tells the story of the Maratha warrior and his wife, Yesubai, played by Mandanna. This is the second collaboration between Kaushal and Utekar, following their work on “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.”
