**MUMBAI, INDIA (February 17, 2025)** – A new biopic on the 17th-century Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is set to go into production, featuring a star-studded cast and crew. Rishab Shetty, currently filming the prequel to his blockbuster hit *Kantara*, will portray the historical figure. The film will be directed by Sandeep Singh, known for producing films such as *Aligarh* and *Sarabjit*, marking his second directorial venture. Music will be composed by Pritam Chakraborty, and lyrics will be penned by Prasoon Joshi.
