Mon Feb 17 01:30:00 UTC 2025: ## McClung Makes History with Third Straight Slam Dunk Title

**San Francisco, CA** – Mac McClung cemented his place in NBA history Saturday night, becoming the first player ever to win three consecutive AT&T Slam Dunk contests. The Orlando Magic G League player wowed the crowd at the Chase Center with four perfect scores, showcasing an array of breathtaking dunks, including a reverse dunk over a Kia car in his opening round.

McClung faced stiff competition from Spurs rookie Stephon Castle, who also impressed with several high-scoring dunks, but McClung’s innovative and flawlessly executed routines proved unbeatable. His final dunk, a two-ball slam, one from the rim, sealed the victory and sent the crowd into a frenzy.

“It kind of feels like a blur,” McClung said after his win. “It’s something I love doing. That’s where my creativity comes is I genuinely love this contest and I love to dunk.”

This year’s contest marked the first time NBA ID members participated in the judging. The event was part of the NBA All-Star Weekend festivities, culminating in the 74th NBA All-Star Game on February 16th, 2025, also held at the Chase Center. McClung’s three-peat continues a legacy of incredible slam dunk performances, echoing Vince Carter’s iconic 2000 victory in the same city.
