Vadodara, India – In a thrilling encounter at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara, the UP Warriors set a 144-run target for the Gujarat Giants in the third match of the Women’s Premier League (WPL). Winning the toss, Gujarat opted to field.
UP Warriors, despite losing 9 wickets, managed to post a respectable 143 runs in their 20 overs. Priya Mishra was the pick of the Gujarat bowlers, claiming 3 wickets. Deepti Sharma top-scored for UP with a 39-run knock, while Uma Chetry contributed 24.
In response, Gujarat’s chase started with early setbacks. Beth Mooney was dismissed for a duck in the first over, bowled by Grace Harris.
