**LaGrange, GA (February 16, 2025) –** A tornado warning was issued at 4:14 AM EST Sunday by the National Weather Service in Peachtree City for several counties in west central Georgia. The warning, in effect until 4:45 AM EST, covers portions of Meriwether, Pike, Heard, Troup, and Coweta counties.
Radar indicated rotation within a severe thunderstorm moving east at 60 mph, located near Paran at 4:02 AM EST. The storm poses a significant threat, with the potential for flying debris, damage to mobile homes and buildings, and downed trees. Residents in impacted areas, including LaGrange, Franklin, Greenville, and numerous smaller towns, are urged to seek immediate shelter.
