NEW YORK – The CW Network announced today the appointment of Michael Perman as Senior Vice President, Sports. Perman, a seasoned executive with a background at NBC Sports and Aggregate Sports, will oversee programming and media rights for CW Sports, spearheading the network’s ongoing expansion into live sports.

Perman’s extensive experience includes roles as VP of Programming at NBC and NBCSN, and most recently, Senior VP of Global Media Rights at Aggregate Sports. At The CW, he will report to network president Brad Schwartz and be based in New York City.

This appointment underscores The CW’s strategic shift towards sports programming, building upon its current offerings such as WWE NXT, the NASCAR Xfinity Series, ACC, Pac-12, Grand Slam Track and Inside The NFL. The network is actively pursuing further acquisitions in college football and basketball.
