Sat Feb 15 19:37:19 UTC 2025: ## Delhi Power Supply Stable, BSES Denies Atishi’s Claims

**NEW DELHI, February 16, 2025** – BSES, a Delhi power distribution company, refuted claims by caretaker Chief Minister Atishi that the city is experiencing widespread power cuts. A BSES spokesperson stated that power demand has remained stable between 4200 and 4500 MW since February 8th, according to State Load Dispatch Centre data. The spokesperson assured the public that BSES is maintaining a reliable power supply, meeting Delhi’s winter demand.

These statements directly contradict allegations made by Ms. Atishi on Friday, who attributed the purported power cuts to the AAP government’s electoral defeat. Following her accusations, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva requested an investigation from Lieutenant-Governor VK Saxena.

BSES dismissed circulating social media reports of power supply issues as false and misleading. The controversy arises amid the recent Delhi Assembly elections, where the AAP party warned of potential power disruptions and subsidy removal under a BJP government.
