**Kollam, Kerala – February 16, 2025** – Kerala’s Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development, J. Chinchurani, has emphasized the crucial role of farmer producer companies (FPCs) in improving farmers’ incomes. Speaking at the ‘Nirakadhir’ harvest festival of the Kadakkal FPC in Thudayur on Sunday, the Minister highlighted the government’s initiative to eliminate corporate intermediaries and ensure farmers receive fair profits for their produce.

The Minister announced plans to cultivate all fallow land in Kerala, starting with the utilization of Kudumbashree workers. Further expansion will involve additional central and state government schemes. The event was presided over by Kadakkal block panchayat president Latika Vidyadharan, with other local officials in attendance. The initiative aims to significantly transform agricultural marketing within the state.
