**Mumbai, India –** The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 schedule was officially released on Sunday, February 16th, revealing a thrilling lineup of matches. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face fierce rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) twice each during the league phase.
The tournament kicks off on March 22nd at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, with the Kolkata Knight Riders hosting RCB. CSK’s campaign begins on March 23rd with a home match against MI, although MI captain Hardik Pandya will miss the game due to a one-match ban. The return fixture will be played in Mumbai on April 20th. CSK will also host RCB on March 28th, with the return leg in Bengaluru on May 3rd.
The 74-match tournament, spanning 65 days, will feature 12 double-headers and will be played across 13 venues. New additions to the IPL roster include Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Dharamsala. The Eden Gardens will also host the final on May 25th. The playoff matches – Eliminator, Qualifier 1, and Qualifier 2 – will be held in Hyderabad and Kolkata.
The schedule follows a format where teams are divided into two groups, playing each team in their group twice and one team from the other group twice, along with four single matches against teams in the opposite group.
