Sun Feb 16 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Telangana BRS Condemns Chief Minister’s Call for KCR Boycott

**Hyderabad, February 15, 2025** – The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has vehemently condemned Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s call for a boycott of BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR). In a statement released Friday evening, former minister T. Harish Rao criticized Reddy’s statement, calling the language used “filthy and unparliamentary.” Rao challenged Reddy to gauge public opinion in his own constituency and native village on whether KCR should be excluded from Telangana society.

Rao further argued that Reddy’s inflammatory rhetoric disqualifies him from participating in Telangana’s social fabric. He also criticized the Chief Minister’s handling of the recent caste survey, labeling it a “useless exercise” and highlighting the internal inconsistencies in Reddy’s own statements regarding its validity. He challenged Reddy to first convince his own party’s Backward Caste leaders of the survey’s accuracy.

Another former minister, V. Prashanth Reddy, reminded the Chief Minister of his past opposition to a similar survey conducted by the BRS in 2014. The BRS contends that Reddy’s actions are politically motivated and that he is willing to use divisive language to gain headlines.
