**Islamabad, February 13, 2025** – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during a two-day visit to Pakistan, reiterated his call for a resolution to the Kashmir issue through dialogue between India and Pakistan, taking into account the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He made the statement following one-on-one and delegation-level talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The visit, marked by the signing of 24 agreements and a Memorandum of Understanding across various sectors, showcased the strengthening of bilateral ties between Turkey and Pakistan. India maintains that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are integral parts of the country, a stance that has remained unchanged since the revocation of Article 370 in 2019, an action that significantly strained relations between India and Pakistan.
