AMARAVATI, Andhra Pradesh – Minister Kollu Ravindra has accused former MLA Vallabhaneni Vamsi of committing another crime to evade responsibility for the attack on the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) office in Gannavaram. Ravindra expressed outrage at what he described as the unchecked actions of YSRCP leaders in Krishna district, leveraging their power.
Speaking at a press conference at the TDP headquarters, Ravindra detailed allegations against Vamsi and other unnamed TDP leaders, citing instances of alleged casino operation, fraudulent schemes involving a wife, and the attack on the party office. He warned that such actions would not be tolerated and implied swift action if his party were in power.
Former ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Somireddy Chandramouli Reddy echoed these sentiments. Rao accused Vamsi of kidnapping the complainant and coercing false testimony, further alleging involvement in a multi-crore scam and demanding an investigation into Vamsi’s contacts during his arrest. Reddy used harsh language, calling Vamsi a “cruel beast” and demanding a SIT investigation into his alleged crimes and misdeeds, advocating for his permanent imprisonment. The accusations highlight a deepening political rift and ongoing legal battles within Andhra Pradesh.
