Mon Feb 10 15:33:34 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Agency Flooded with Encroachment Complaints

**Hyderabad, February 10, 2025** – The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) received a deluge of 64 complaints on February 10 regarding encroachments on public spaces, parks, and roads. The complaints, filed through HYDRAA’s grievance redressal forum, Prajavani, spanned various areas across the city.

Among the most significant complaints was an allegation by the Army Officers Colony Welfare Association in Malkajgiri of a 3,000 square yard park encroachment. Several Kukatpally colony welfare associations echoed similar concerns. Residents of Subodha and Swagruha housing societies near JNTU reported encroachment of open spaces designated for public utilities. Further complaints detailed encroachments on Ambeer Cheruvu and a 2,000 square yard open space in Aditya Nagar.

Residents of Jayapuri Colony in Ghatkesar presented evidence of open space encroachments, while Ekashilanagar residents from Pocharam municipality complained about an engineering college occupying 15 feet of a 50-foot road. Residents of Dollar Meadows in Bowrampet village even requested HYDRAA chief A.V. Ranganath’s intervention to reopen a road blocked from their colony.

HYDRAA chief Ranganath heard all complaints and instructed officials to conduct field inspections and take appropriate action.
