**Kalaburagi, Karnataka, February 10, 2025** – The Kalaburagi City Police announced the successful conclusion of a major operation targeting theft, resulting in the recovery of stolen goods worth nearly ₹80 lakh and the arrest of 114 individuals. Police Commissioner Sharanappa S. Dhage oversaw a property-return parade on Monday, where recovered items—including gold and silver jewelry, electronics, and cash—were returned to their rightful owners.

The operation resulted in the solving of 65 theft cases, encompassing 25 nighttime house break-ins, six daytime house break-ins, five residential thefts, and 29 other theft cases. Recovered items included 936.19 grams of gold jewelry (valued at ₹53.16 lakh), 1,908.8 grams of silver ornaments (valued at ₹1.33 lakh), electronics worth ₹25.54 lakh, and ₹3.40 lakh in cash.

Commissioner Dhage urged citizens to enhance home security measures, recommending the installation of CCTV cameras, burglar alarms, and motion detectors. He also advised storing valuable jewelry in bank lockers and refraining from sharing travel plans on social media. He highlighted the involvement of car drivers, domestic help, and even relatives in some cases, emphasizing the importance of thorough background checks and police verification before employing such individuals.
