**NEW DELHI** – National Fertilizers Ltd (NFL), a state-owned company, announced a significant drop in its consolidated net profit for the December quarter (Q3) of the current fiscal year. The company reported a net profit of ₹45.81 crore, a 70% decrease compared to ₹150.90 crore in the same period last year. This decline is primarily attributed to a substantial reduction in revenue.

Total revenue for the October-December quarter fell by 23% to ₹5,855.85 crore, down from ₹7,584.27 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. While expenses also decreased to ₹5,842.01 crore from ₹7,409.05 crore, the sharp revenue drop significantly impacted the company’s bottom line. The information was disclosed in a regulatory filing.
