**Ongole, Andhra Pradesh –** A 5km marathon held in Ongole on Sunday aimed to raise awareness about drug abuse, the importance of helmet usage, and cancer prevention. The event, inaugurated by Superintendent of Police A.R. Damodar, drew a large number of participants.

Prakasam district Collector Thameem Ansaria highlighted the dangers of drug abuse, urging youth to stay away from such harmful substances and pursue their dreams. She presented cash prizes to the top three finishers in both the men’s and women’s categories.

SP Damodar emphasized the tragic consequences of drug abuse among young people and stressed the critical need for helmet use among two-wheeler riders. Local MLA’s Damacharla Janardhan Rao and B.N. Vijaykumar also addressed the participants, advising them on healthy lifestyles, including balanced diets, exercise, and stress management techniques. Additional SP K. Nageswara Rao, along with representatives from RISE College and Tech Bulls, also participated in the event.
