**NEW ORLEANS, LA** – Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss will return to his analyst role on ESPN’s *Sunday NFL Countdown* this Super Bowl Sunday, the network announced. Moss, 47, had taken a leave of absence in December to undergo treatment for cancer.
Moss revealed on Instagram Live that he had a cancerous mass removed from his bile duct. He underwent surgery, including a six-hour procedure to remove the tumor, followed by additional treatment. He expressed his desire to return to the show as soon as his health allowed.
Fellow Vikings legends Cris Carter and Jake Reed have publicly voiced their support for Moss throughout his treatment.
Moss, a legendary figure in NFL history, played 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and San Francisco 49ers. He holds the NFL record for touchdown receptions in a single season (23 in 2007) and is second all-time in career touchdown catches (156). He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2018.
Moss’s return to *Sunday NFL Countdown* will coincide with Super Bowl LVII between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles, airing live from New Orleans at 10 a.m. ET.
