**Chennai, February 9, 2025** – Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai has accused Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of lying about the allocation of funds under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Annamalai’s statement, released on social media, counters Stalin’s claims of the Union government’s unfair treatment of Tamil Nadu.

Annamalai criticized the state government’s performance in education, stating that Tamil Nadu lags in numeracy and Tamil language proficiency. He blamed the state government for the decline in educational quality, alleging the politicization of education and the denial of equal opportunities to children.

He challenged Stalin’s commitment to implement the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, including the PM Shri scheme, questioning why the state should receive funds for a program it hasn’t fully implemented. Annamalai pointed out that 35 of 36 states and union territories have yet to receive their 2024-25 allocation under the scheme, refuting Stalin’s claim that funds allocated to Tamil Nadu were diverted elsewhere.
