**Ahmedabad, India** – Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, celebrated the marriage of his youngest son, Jeet, to Diva Jaimin Shah on Friday in a small, private ceremony held in Ahmedabad. The wedding, described as a traditional Jain and Gujarati affair, saw the couple exchange garlands amidst emotional scenes involving family members, including Gautam and his wife, Priti Adani.
Mr. Adani shared photos from the intimate event on social media, expressing his apologies for the limited guest list due to the private nature of the celebration. He also announced a significant philanthropic contribution of ₹10,000 crore (approximately $1.2 billion USD). This substantial donation, earmarked for various social causes, is expected to primarily fund large-scale infrastructure projects focusing on healthcare, education, and skill development.
The wedding also marked the launch of a unique initiative by the newlyweds. Jeet and Diva pledged to contribute ₹10 lakh (approximately $12,000 USD) each to fund the weddings of 500 women with disabilities annually. This commitment was highlighted by Jeet’s pre-wedding meeting with 21 newlywed women with disabilities and their husbands.
Jeet Adani, who joined the Adani Group in 2019 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, currently leads the Adani Airports business and Adani Digital Labs. The wedding, as previously indicated by Gautam Adani, was kept simple and traditional, foregoing a large-scale celebrity gathering.
