**New Delhi, February 8, 2025** – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of refusing to publish Form 17C, detailing booth-wise vote counts, on its website. Kejriwal claims the ECI ignored repeated requests for this data, crucial for transparency.
In response to the accusations, the Chief Electoral Officer’s office stated that Form 17C was provided to all polling agents on polling day, as per the Conduct of Election Rules. However, AAP, citing concerns about transparency, has launched its own website, transparentelections.in, publishing the compiled Form 17C data.
AAP leader Gopal Rai expressed confidence in a landslide victory for the party, predicting more than 50 seats. He dismissed exit polls suggesting otherwise as a BJP tactic (“Operation Lotus”) to influence public perception and pressure AAP candidates. Rai alleges the BJP is using exit polls to create a false narrative of an impending BJP government.
The allegations come on the eve of the Delhi Assembly election vote count. The AAP is actively promoting its independently compiled data as a demonstration of its commitment to transparency, directly contrasting with the ECI’s alleged lack of it.
