Despite the layoffs, Meta will simultaneously expedite the hiring process for machine learning engineers and other critical engineering roles between February 11th and March 13th. Meta’s Head of People, Janelle Gale, stated in an internal memo that offices will remain open on Monday, and no further updates regarding the layoffs will be provided.
