Sat Feb 08 07:43:48 UTC 2025: ## AAP’s Sisodia Concedes Defeat in Delhi Assembly Elections; BJP Poised for Victory

**New Delhi, February 8, 2025** – Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) conceded defeat in the Jangpura constituency in today’s Delhi Assembly elections. Sisodia lost to BJP candidate Tarvinder Singh Marwah, a former Congress MLA, by a margin of approximately 600 votes.

“We fought hard, but fell short,” Sisodia told reporters, congratulating his opponent and expressing hope that he would address the constituency’s issues.

With the BJP currently leading in 48 seats and the AAP in 22, the BJP is on track to form the government in Delhi after a 27-year absence. The Congress has failed to win any seats. Other prominent AAP leaders, including Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, are also trailing in their respective constituencies.

The elections, held on February 5th, saw a voter turnout of 60.54%.
