HYDERABAD, February 7, 2025 – Former minister and senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao has sharply criticized the Telangana government’s handling of repeated food poisoning incidents in residential schools, calling it a “height of negligence.” His statement follows another outbreak at a tribal welfare school in Mahabubabad district, where multiple students were hospitalized.

Rao highlighted that hundreds of similar incidents have occurred since the Congress government took office in December 2023, resulting in student deaths and numerous hospitalizations due to contaminated food. Despite Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s warnings of criminal charges against those responsible, Rao claims no action has been taken against erring staff or officials, leading to the continued recurrence of these incidents.

He demanded immediate improvements in medical care for affected students and swift action against those responsible for the negligence.
