Fri Feb 07 11:41:15 UTC 2025: ## AAP Accuses Election Commission of Opacity in Delhi Election Results

**New Delhi, February 7, 2025** – The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of withholding crucial election data following Wednesday’s Delhi Assembly elections. AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal alleges the ECI has refused repeated requests to upload Form 17C, which details the number of votes polled in each assembly constituency and polling booth.

To address what it calls a lack of transparency, the AAP has created its own website, transparentelections.in, publishing the Form 17C data it has collected. Kejriwal stated that this information should have been readily available from the ECI. The votes will be officially counted tomorrow.

While exit polls offer conflicting predictions, with some forecasting a BJP victory and others favoring AAP, Kejriwal’s party is aiming for a third consecutive win in the Delhi Assembly. AAP leader Gopal Rai expressed confidence in winning 50 seats based on internal estimates, significantly lower than their near-sweep in the previous election.

Adding to the pre-election tension, Kejriwal earlier accused the BJP of attempting to poach AAP candidates with offers of ₹15 crore each. The BJP denies these allegations, which have prompted an investigation ordered by Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor.

Voter turnout in Delhi reached 60.42 percent. Exit polls paint a varied picture, with predictions ranging from a BJP win of 39-60 seats to an AAP victory with 21-52 seats. The Congress is predicted to win at most one seat across all polls. It’s important to note that exit polls are not always accurate.
