**Chennai, February 6, 2025** – The Madras High Court has ordered Chennai-based Tractors and Farm Equipment (TAFE) Limited and the US-based Massey Ferguson Corporation to maintain the status quo regarding the use of the “Massey Ferguson” trademark. This interim order comes in response to a civil suit filed by TAFE against Massey Ferguson, contesting the latter’s claims on the trademark within India.

TAFE asserts exclusive ownership of the trademark in India and claims it secured an interim relief in its favor last October. The High Court’s current order will remain in effect until the civil suit is resolved. The dispute centers around the rights to use the well-known “Massey Ferguson” brand name in the Indian market.
