**Chennai, India (Jan 26, 2024)** – Padma Bhushan awardee Ajith Kumar’s highly anticipated film, *Vidaamuyarchi* (Persistence), is gearing up for a worldwide release on February 6th. Directed by Magizh Thirumeni and produced by Lyca Productions, the film promises a thrilling cinematic experience.

The action-packed movie, a remake of the 1997 Hollywood thriller *Breakdown*, marks Ajith Kumar’s return to the screen after a two-year hiatus, following the January 2023 release of *Thunivu*. The actor reportedly dedicated 121 days to the project, aiming to deliver a captivating and entertaining film. *Vidaamuyarchi*, set over a single day, retains the core plot of its predecessor while incorporating a distinct Tamil flavour.

Fans can expect adrenaline-pumping action sequences, especially showcasing Ajith Kumar’s renowned motorcycle skills. Behind-the-scenes footage revealed the actor’s commitment to performing risky stunts, including a thrilling race car sequence.

The film reunites Ajith Kumar with Trisha Krishnan for their fifth on-screen collaboration, their first in a decade. Veteran actor Arjun Sarja plays the antagonist, marking a reunion with Ajith Kumar after 14 years. Anirudh Ravichander, known for his chart-topping music, composes the film’s score.
