**CHENNAI, February 5, 2025** – The Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department successfully reclaimed property valued at approximately ₹10 crore belonging to the Sri Agatheeswarar temple in Villivakkam. The property, situated in Sivasakthi Colony, had been leased to an electro-plating unit which defaulted on rent payments, accumulating significant arrears. The unit was subsequently evicted, and HR&CE officials took possession of the property with the assistance of police and revenue department officials.
