**NEW DELHI, February 5, 2025** – The Supreme Court of India on Tuesday granted the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)’s request to remove Datla Sreenivasa Varma as the head of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing extra-judicial killings in Manipur.
