**Kollam, Kerala – February 4, 2025** – Kerala’s Ports, Museums, Archaeology and Archives Minister, Kadannappally Ramachandran, has called for improved efficiency and transparency within the state’s Registration Department. Addressing a district-level review meeting in Kollam on Monday, the Minister emphasized the need for timely and accessible public services.

The Registration Department, a key revenue generator for the state government, was urged to expedite pending cases. Minister Ramachandran directed officials to hold adalats to clear backlogged files, aiming to finalize a maximum number of cases by March 31st under existing settlement schemes. This initiative aims to reduce litigation arising from undervaluation cases.

A zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and delays was reiterated. Additionally, the Minister highlighted a one-time settlement scheme for penalties related to late submission of returns under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, available until March 31st.

The meeting reviewed various aspects of the department’s performance, including project progress, infrastructure development, and service delivery. Senior officials from the Registration Department were in attendance.
