**Hyderabad, February 4, 2025** – Senior Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and former minister T. Harish Rao has accused the Congress government in Telangana of neglecting thousands of retired state employees. Rao claims that approximately 8,000 government employees who retired since December 7, 2023, are yet to receive their retirement benefits due to alleged government delays.

Rao highlighted the plight of a retired police officer with serious health issues who is unable to afford private medical treatment because of the delayed payments. He stated that the officer’s government health card is not being accepted by hospitals, and he cannot afford treatment privately due to the outstanding retirement benefits.

Rao criticized the Congress government for the alleged inaction, demanding immediate action to ensure timely disbursement of retirement benefits to all affected employees. The BRS leader did not offer specific reasons for the alleged delay, suggesting the government’s motivations are unclear.
